Steps to Sustainable Tourism

Steps to Sustainable Tourism is a publication of the Australian Government Department of Environment and Heritage that advocates a step-by-step process for sustainable tourism planning that integrates tourism, heritage and environment goals into one process. It is a useful tool for tourism operators, tourism organisations, local government, land and heritage managers, regional development bodies, communities and others.

Stepwise Heritage and Tourism offers workshop programs and facilitated project management that uses the Steps to Sustainable Tourism approach as a resource for participants and a guide for planning the work that needs to be done.
